Watching Choochcutz, or Kendrick Mora on his license, is like watching a master at work. He is DaVinci. Kobe, Amadeus of hair. Although he has been cutting hair for just five years, he is already a prodigy and can style several popular faces like: Lil Baby, Stephen Curry, The Alchemist, The Entire Detroit Pistons team (NBA) , and more! No detail goes unnoticed. There is no hair too small to be missed.
The shop is fun, inviting, and full of humor. It would seem that if there were more Detroit Pistons players, there would be more buzz. But Kendrick the Barber is humble. Maybe that’s why his celebrity clients trust him with their privacy and their fade. Reported as one of the best to do it in Detroit.
More about Kendrick
Kendrick D. Mora was born in 1999 in Southern California. In 2016, his father was hired in Detroit, MI leaving Ken no choice but to rewrite his life in a new state. Soon after moving, a new interest developed and choochcutz found himself very interested in the beauty industry.
2017 was the year Kendrick bought his first pair clippers and began to learn the art of haircutting. Despite Mora’s full-time job in a factory, he made the effort to practice barbering on weekends and after work. While training in his parent’s basement, one of his former classmates introduced him to a part-time position at a local barbershop near Southwest Detroit. Shortly after, chooch made barbering his full-time occupation.
To legitimize his skills and obtain his credentials, Kendrick enrolled in Barber College in 2019. At the age of 22, Mora graduated from barber school after 1800 hours. Early 2022, Kendrick launched a variety of products for barbers and hair enthusiasts known as ‘Chooch’ which can be found on choochcutz.com .
