Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s share food recall warning amid salmonella risk – ‘don’t use’

Jus-Rol Shortcrust Pastry Blocks 1KG (frozen)

The frozen pastry blocks have been recalled due to the possible presence of salmonella.

This can cause illness such as fever, sickness and stomach cramps.

The item has been recalled from stores including Tesco and Sainsbury’s.

A statement, published on Tesco website, read: “Jus-Rol is recalling certain date codes of two of their chilled and frozen pastry blocks, as they may contain salmonella.”

The affected packs are 1kg with the best before date of September 2023.

The batch codes 361 and 362 are affected.

The products can be returned to store for a full refund.

The statement continued: “If you’ve bought an affected product, please don’t use it.

“Instead, return it to a Tesco store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required.”

DON’T MISS

The recall affects products sold between November 1, 2021 and January 14, 2022.

They have the batch codes WF10V and WG08V.

The items can be returned to stores for a full refund and no receipt is required for this.

Morrisons

The Snaffling Pig Perfectly Salted Pork Scratchings

The snack, which is sold in Morrisons, was recalled due to the risk of salmonella.

Shoppers should check for 45 gram packs with the best before date of June 11, 2022.

The FSA said: “If you have bought any of the above product do not eat it.

“Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
