New Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick wants to revolutionise the club’s attack by bringing in Erling Haaland, Timo Werner and RB Leipzig pair Christopher Nkunku and Amadou Haidara, according to reports.
Rangnick was announced as the Red Devils’ new temporary coach on Monday until the end of the season, before he takes a two-year consultancy role at Old Trafford. The 63-year-old arrived at Old Trafford on Wednesday and looked around the club’s facilities.
The German is not only known for his excellent coaching through an attractive style of play but also has experience of handling the transfer market through his sporting director roles at RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg and Lokomotiv Moscow.

And according to German news outlet BILD, Rangnick will make an attempt to bring Borussia Dortmund striker Haaland to Old Trafford as the German knows his father and agent, Alf-Inge, well.
Rangnick was in a sporting director role at Salzburg when Haaland rose to prominence in Austria during the winter of 2019, as the Norwegian scored 28 goals in 22 games before sealing a £18million move to Dortmund at the start of 2020.
Haaland scored 41 goals in 41 games for the Bundesliga club last season and the 21-year-old has backed that up with 14 goals in 11 games so far this term.
Meanwhile, the same report claims Rangnick is interested in bringing Chelsea striker Werner to Manchester in the summer – after the German coach’s interim contract at Old Trafford comes to an end.

The 63-year-old oversaw the career of Werner at RB Leipzig before his move to Stamford Bridge and is also said to be close to Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.
Werner has endured a difficult time at Chelsea following his £47.5m move from Leipzig last summer – scoring 15 goals in 64 matches for the Blues and is often slammed for his lack of potency in front of goal.
But the 25-year-old scored 34 goals in his final season at Leipzig so Rangnick is fully aware of the potential Werner has and how far he can go in the game.

Meanwhile, as Sportsmail revealed earlier this week, RB Leipzig midfielder Haidara is also on Manchester United’s shortlist with the club’s scouts set to watch the Mali international against Union Berlin on Friday night.
But BILD claim Haidara’s club team-mate Nkunku is also on United’s watchlist after impressing for the German club over the past two years.
The France Under-21 international already has 13 goals in 19 matches in all competitions this term – and netted a hat-trick in Leipzig’s 6-3 defeat to Manchester City earlier this season.

United’s reported interest in Haaland and Werner is a surprise considering the club splashed out nearly £100m on Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo in the last summer transfer window.
The pair join the likes of Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani in an all-star Red Devils attack.
United also have plenty of midfield options, with Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba, Fred, Nemanja Matic and Donny van de Beek all tied down to the club.
But French World Cup winner Pogba’s future at Old Trafford is in serious doubt with the 28-year-old having just seven months left on his United contract with no sign of any breakthrough in negotiations as of yet.
