According to National Highways East, Bedfordshire Police are currently on the M1 motorway between J10 and J11 following a collision. Traffic is currently travelling on one lane of the motorway sparking huge queues.
They tweeted: “Three lanes are currently closed on the #M1 in #Bedfordshire northbound between J10 and J11 due to a collision.
“@bedspolice are on scene.
“Traffic passing the scene in one lane.
“Please take care on approach.”
This comes after the M1 was closed northbound following a crash around 12pm on Friday (February 4).
INRIX read: “M1 Northbound closed, queuing traffic for four miles due to multi-vehicle accident at J13 A421 Bedford Road (Bedford / Milton Keynes South).
“Cameras show the road has been closed and traffic is being diverted up the slip roads. Diversion – via the slip roads.”
The road was closed for around two and a half hours while the incident was dealt with, and then reopened.
