‘Horrific’ teacher fed children cupcakes laced with husband’s SPERM

Cynthia Perkins, from Louisiana, US, is now facing decades behind bars for sex crimes against children and second-degree rape. She also pleaded guilty to producing child pornography, shockingly involving a minor under the age of 13, one count of second-degree rape and one of mingling harmful substances.

As a part of the plea deal, 68 of the 72 charges against her for multiple sex crimes were dropped.

She had originally pleaded not guilty to the charges presented but later changed her plea to guilty.

The teacher allegedly used her ex-husband’s sperm to “season” pastries that were made for children at Westside Junior High School, according to the charges.

Her husband, Dennis Perkins was also charged with two counts of video voyeurism, two counts of obscenity and obstruction of justice.

Mr Perkins was a Sheriff Deputy before the arrest.

Ms Perkins stepped down from her teaching position after the arrest, filed for divorce and claimed her husband had manipulated her to carry out the crimes.

Attorney General Jeff Landry said: “Today, Cynthia Perkins admitted to her crimes and plead guilty in court.

“She not only waived any right to appeal, and attempt to avoid conviction, but she also spared the victims from reliving her horrific crimes during this particular trial.”

She could have originally faced 72 years in prison, but will now face 41 years.

Police said Mr Perkins threw his cell phone off a bridge just before he was arrested in an alleged attempt to destroy evidence.

Following his arrest, his boss Sheriff Jason Ard issued a statement saying: “It is a sad day for us, for all law enforcement officers, when you arrest one of your own.

“I do not condone these alleged acts. I am disappointed.

“I have always considered Denny a friend and a family member.”
