Christian Pulisic has named Mohamed Salah as the best player in the Premier League, after the Chelsea star insisted it is ‘hard to argue’ with the Egyptian’s status as the top performer in England.
Salah, 29, is enjoying an exceptional season in the top-flight with Liverpool, having already bagged 15 goals in 18 games to keep Jurgen Klopp’s side in the hunt for the title.
The Egyptian has long been one of the best players in the Premier League, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Harry Kane, Bruno Fernandes and Kevin De Bruyne in recent seasons.

But Chelsea star Pulisic claims that, this season, Salah is in a league of his own. The American praised Blues team-mates N’Golo Kante and Jorginho, but explained that ‘it is hard to argue’ with Salah’s No 1 status.
‘I think if you’re looking at our team there’s been some incredible performances, you look at Jorginho and N’Golo [Kante],’ he told Amazon Prime.
‘But it’s hard to argue you with [Mohamed] Salah and what he’s accomplished. He’s a top guy too.’
The former Borussia Dortmund star also named Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo as the toughest opponent he has faced this season, before adding that he is blessed with options in this category.

While Pulisic praised Jorginho (R) and N’Golo Kante, he said it is ‘hard to argue’ with Salah as No 1
‘It’s hard to argue against Cristiano Ronaldo but there’s a lot of top players,’ he added. ‘He’s one of the best to do it but there’s so many.’
The USA international has endured a stop-start three seasons at Stamford Bridge with injuries hampering his progress. However, he has lavished praise on Blues boss Thomas Tuchel, having worked with him in Germany before.
‘It’s been great,’ Pulisic said of his relationship with the demanding coach.
‘I’ve obviously played with him [Tuchel] quite a lot, first at Dortmund and now here. He’s built a really strong team here so it’s great.’
