Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz and women’s player Alisha Lehmann confirm relationship

Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz has taken to Instagram to announce his relationship with women’s player Alisha Lehmann.

The pair posted the same picture of them kissing with the caption: ‘I love you’.

Lehamnn, 23, plays as a forward for the women’s team and is also a Switzerland international. She joined Villa last summer from West Ham.

Luiz, also 23, has been a Villa player since 2019 and is a Brazil international.

He has, according to The Telegraph, been the subject of a £30m bid from an unnamed Premier League club which has been rejected.

Villa are set to enter talks with him regarding a new contract, with The Telegraph saying he is rated very highly by manager Steven Gerrard.

Lehamnn plays as a forward for Villa and she is also a Switzerland international 

He has started the last nine Villa matches under Gerrard, who took over as manager in November. 

Villa are currently 11th in the Premier League table with 26 points from 21 games and were 16th when Gerrard took over – just two points above the relegation zone. 

They return to action on February 9, at home to Leeds.
