Jordan Seitz Takes the Circus World by Storm with Flow and Passion

Jordan Seitz is a woman who is dedicated to her craft. Her decade-spanning practice and performance career have been marked by a sense of playfulness and innovation, integrating multiple circus acts, dance styles, and special effects that bring elements of surprise and excitement to her performances. Seitz’s disciplines include aerial performances on hoop and silks, fire dancing, LED prop manipulation, and stilt walking. She performs locally in the Washington DC metro area and other cities nation-wide at a variety of event locations, including sports, special events, festivals, television, and stage productions.

Seitz has performed in some of the most iconic venues and events in the country, including HGTV’s House Hunters season 186 episode 7 “A house with dance space” in 2019, Good Morning Washington ABC News Channel 7 in 2015 and 2016, the Sax Lounge DC, MGM Grand National Harbor, and The Howard Theatre DC. She has also headlined at the Burning City Neo Vintage Entertainment Festival in Chicago and won the Aerial Olympics National Championship All Star Division in 2022, as well as the Titans Aerial & Pole Championships Aerial Silks Division in 2017 and 2018.

Seitz’s passion for her work is clear in her words. “Creative outlets provide a way of revealing who we are to the world. It is communication of one’s innermost thoughts, feelings, and experiences to others. I tried a stockpile of “outlets,” but it wasn’t until I started doing circus that I experienced flow for the first time, where I was completely immersed, intensely focused, and creatively engaged.”

As Seitz’s passion grew, she decided to start her own business, FahrenSeitz Entertainment & Fitness, which provides live cirque-style entertainment. Her goal is to create memories and smiles through her live performances. “Your event is important to us, and we will do everything within our power to create an unforgettable experience,” she says. Her company also aims to empower students by providing safe, fun, and growth-oriented circus instruction to aspiring performers and hobbyists.

Starting a business is never easy, and Seitz faced her own set of challenges. The biggest challenge she faced was when she decided to go full-time with what she was doing. She had to learn a lot more tools and the best way to do things, and she also wanted to have a website to attract more clients than she had at the time. She left a 7 years career at the Department of Defense when she started her business working as a technical trainer.

Despite the challenges, Seitz remains committed to working with local talent and giving them opportunities to be inspired and continue growing in their craft. She is proud of the projects she has completed, especially because she did not grow up as a very good acrobat or gymnast. But through hard work and dedication, she has managed to build her own business and achieve her dreams.

So how does Seitz stay motivated? For her, it’s all about the flow. There have been moments when she felt intensely focused, incredibly engaged, and motivated, which made all of these accomplishments possible. Her future goal is to get as many clients as possible and expand her business. She also attends shows in other cities outside of Washington DC, including Chicago, New York City, Fordham, and beyond.

Seitz’s skills in fire performing and fire spinning are truly awe-inspiring. Her shows are not just performances; they are experiences that leave audiences breathless and eager for more. Her passion for circus and fitness is evident in everything she does, and her dedication to her craft has made her a true leader in her field.
