Holiday hell to batter Britons as French announce major Covid rule changes – protests rear

“The measures applied to vaccinated adults are extended under the same conditions to their accompanying minors, whether vaccinated or not.”

The change means that adults who received their second dose in May of last year or before, but who have not yet received a booster vaccine, will not be deemed fully vaccinated when travelling to France.

According to the French consulate in London, those deemed unvaccinated must have a “compelling reason” for their trip and must self-isolate for seven days on arrival.

The new changes, announced at the start of the month, promise to cause holiday mayhem for those hoping for an escape to one of France’s tourist destinations in the coming months.
