Massive brawl erupts as more than 40 people fight in steak buffet row

Video footage captured the shocking scene which broke out over an incident, with customers involved now facing possible assault charges. More than 40 people could be seen throwing chairs and causing chaos in the restaurant on Friday.

The scuffle broke out at a Golden Corral buffet in Pennsylvania and is believed to have started after a customer cut in line and claimed the last steak.

The four-minute footage shows over 40 customers hurling chairs and shouting at one another in the middle of the .

Furniture looks to be overturned and strewn across the floor alongside ripped paper napkins.

In the video, employees can be seen trying to escape the commotion while customers climb on tables and launch chairs at each other, and others scream in horror.

One man in the background can be heard saying: “All I wanted was some steak”.

The shocking video was filmed and posted on by user Lauletta who said the melee erupted after someone cut in line for the steaks and took the last one.

Alexis Rios, a customer in the Golden Corral at the time, said the brawl kicked off after he received his steak before another person who was there before him, reported MailOnline.

Despite the efforts of employees trying to stop the destruction, the brawl seemed to continue escalating for some time until customers appear to start leaving the eatery.

Police are investigating the incident which could see those involved face assault charges.

Golden Corral has since issued a statement to CBS 3 Philadelphia confirming that the police have launched an investigation but assured nobody was injured during the brawl.

“We notified the local authorities and they are investigating the incident,’ the statement read.

“Thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported. The safety of our guests and our coworkers is our top priority.”
