According to figures from the Interior Ministry, they have now identified close to 200,000 fake health passes. Of that number, 436 criminal investigations have now been opened in the country. Between December 20-30, 10,000 extra passes were discovered, taking the total to 192,483. By December 30, 1,919 fines had been issued.
Fake passes have been used to gain entry to public spaces which require a negative test result or a vaccine pass.
Commenting on the figure, interior minister Gerald Darmanin said: “We condemn and prosecute users and traffickers of fake health passes.
“435 criminal investigations have been opened.
“I have asked the cyber security services of the National Police and the Gendarmerie to be particularly vigilant.”
While Mr Macron has introduced tougher restrictions, the President also gave an incredible interview where he claimed he wanted to “p*** off” the unvaccinated.
During an interview with Le Parisien, the President used the French word, “emmerder”, adding: “The unvaccinated, I really want to p*** them off.
“And so, we’re going to continue doing so, until the end.
“That’s the strategy.

The Covid pass is expected to be approved this week.
It would require citizens to show proof of a vaccine rather than a negative lateral flow test.
Despite the strict restrictions in the country with 91 percent of the population fully vaccinated, 217,746 Covid cases were reported in the country on January 4.
Marine Le Pen, one of the President’s main rivals, criticised his explosive remarks.
She said: “A President should not say that.
“The guarantor of the unity of the nation persists in dividing it and assumes that he wants to make non-vaccinated people second-class citizens.
“In April, I will be the President of all the French people.”
