Tottenham ‘enter the transfer race to sign £68m Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic’

Tottenham are reportedly preparing to make a move for Dusan Vlahovic in the January transfer window. 

The new Spurs manager, Antonio Conte, wants to sign the 21-year-old to take the pressure off their star striker Harry Kane.  

However, Tottenham will have to battle it out with rivals Manchester City and Arsenal to acquire is services.

According to The Sun, Vlahovic was labelled as the primary transfer target at Tottenham after he scored 21 goals for Fiorentina in Serie A last season.  

Conte is reportedly keen on bringing in the Swede to Tottenham Hotspur this season. Although, he could face some stumbling blocks as the young forward’s agent is reportedly blocking all calls.

Nevertheless, Fiorentina are poised to sell Vlahovic – who has turned down a contract extension which currently runs until 2023. 

However, Tottenham will have to battle it out with Manchester City and Arsenal to acquire Vlahovic’s services. 

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes Vlahovic would be a good addition to his squad as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are both in their thirties.   

While Pep Guardiola believes Vlahovic – who has scored eight goals in 12 league games this term – would add another layer to his extensive Manchester City squad.
