Boris Johnson could face hefty fine as PM hands Partygate questionnaire to police

The Met are currently investigating a number of parties that allegedly took place in Government buildings during lockdown, at least six of which were supposedly attended by the Prime Minister.

Anyone found to have attended any of these events could face a fine of up to £10,000.

So far the police have received more than 500 documents and 300 photos relating to their investigation.

The PM just made the deadline he was given by the Met, which specified that he needed to hand in the questionnaire by the end of the day on Friday.

More than 50 people have been contacted about the gatherings, which flouted lockdown rules that were in place throughout the UK at the time.

However the infamous cheese and wine gathering, which took place in May 2020 in the Downing Street garden, will not be investigated.

Some of the events that are being investigated include Boris Johnson’s own birthday party and a Bring Your Own Booze event on May 20 2020.
