Tyson Fury has branded Eddie Hearn a ‘clown’ after the promoter doubted his commitment to fighting Dillian Whyte.
The Gypsy King is set to defend his WBC title against Whyte on April 23, but Hearn has voiced his concern over the fight going ahead.
The Matchroom promoter suggested that Fury might pull out of the fight – which is likely to take place at either Cardiff‘s Principality Stadium or West Ham‘s London Stadium.

Speaking to IFL TV, Hearn said: ‘In my heart of hearts, I don’t know whether Tyson Fury takes this fight. That’s honestly what I believe.’
As a result, Fury took to social media to dispute such claims and call out Hearn for questioning his commitment to the fight.
The heavyweight boxer took to Twitter to say: ‘This man is a clown, you boys are the 1s that may not take the fight. Sign the contract big boy.’
Fury’s comment came shortly after Hearn announced that he had not received the contracts through for the fight.

Fury took to social media to dispute such claims and call out Hearn for questioning his commitment to the fight. He also told the Matchroom promoter to sign the contracts
Speaking on Thursday, Hearn said: ‘As of this morning, we haven’t received a contract. That’s not unusual but we don’t have it. It’s a process you go through.’
Hearn also said he was not disappointed about losing the purse bid for Fury’s clash with Whyte.
The Matchroom promoter tabled a £24million bid but was outdone by Warren, who offered £31m – a record amount for a WBC event.
Hearn believes Warren has paid over the odds for the fight between Fury and Whyte and claims his rival could be at risk of ‘losing millions’.
Speaking to The MMA Hour, Hearn said: ‘We would have lost a lot of money and [Fury] probably wouldn’t have taken the fight [at the price we were willing to pay].

‘We don’t get on all the time; I do have a lot of respect for him but you never know what you’re going to get.
‘Of course I’d like to have promoted the fight, but you have to put a number which you’re prepared to lose. The minute you start acting on ego is the minute you make a catastrophic error which could cost you millions of dollars. I don’t play that game.
‘I back our guys but to a point where we understand the business. If you start going in with your d*** and you’re bidding £10m over the number, and you finish the show and look at the bottom line and you’ve done £5-£10m, well done… that’s great business! If we didn’t turn up they would have saved millions of dollars as the only bidder.’
